The following icons indicate that the manufacturer is a producer of the specified tile type.

Bisque: Tile bisque or body tile for further glazing or decoration. |

Terracotta: unglazed material often made of red burning clay. |
 |
Klinker: generally shaped by extrusion and may be glazed or unglazed. |

Porcelain: generally made by the dust-pressed method producing a dense tile with a smooth finish and high mechanical strength. |

Monoporosa: ceramic wall tile produced by a single-firing method with an average firing temperature of 1200 degrees Celsius and a firing time of approx. forty minutes. |

Monocottura: single-fired floor tile permitting the fusion of the clay body with the glaze. |
 |
Bicottura: second-firing of the bisque once the glaze or decoration has been applied. |
 |
Third Firing: special decorative effect applied to tile by a third-firing process. |
 |
Tile Decoration: application of additional decorative effects by a company specialising in adding value to tiles produced by others. |
 |
Mosaic: tile normally produced by either dust-pressed or plastic method usually presented on mesh in a variety of sizes predominantly 50x50 mm. |

Skirting: tile produced for specific tile ranges for commercial or domestic application. |
