There are three scoring wheel models, to be used depending on the type of surface which we need
to score:
6mm diameter scoring wheel: smooth glazed surfaces,
10 mm diameter scoring wheel: rough glazed surfaces,
18 mm diameter scoring wheel: rough and rustic unglazed material.
It is advisable to use the GOLD variety of the 10 mm and 18 mm diameter scoring wheels. These have
been especially treated to lengthen the useful life of the wheel by up to three times.
Range of scoring wheels.
With tiles of greater than 40 cm in diameter, it is better to use the 10mm diameter scoring wheel, even
on smooth surfaces, as the 6 mm wheel could overheat with repeated cutting.
