There are holes, such as that for the toilet, which are completely invisible when the bathroom has
been installed. It may therefore seem that it is not necessary to cut them exactly. However, if we do
not want to have problems later when fixing the toilet, or risk possible cracks or other difficulties, we
should cut the hole exactly to size. To do this, we first mark the tile on its glazed side.
It is not possible to use a Widia bit to make a hole in stoneware. We have to use a diamond bit
(120 mm diameter for the toilet), as well as a FORAGRES guide and an electric drill.
We position the electric drill in the guide and the diamond bit. We then adjust the stop-screw of the
FORAGRES guide, depending on the thickness of the tile, so that the hole is not completely made
and so the interior piece does not remain inside the bit. For this bit to work correctly, it should always
be cooled with water.
The guide incorporates a connection in its base which enables us to fill the recipient with water
up to a certain level, and makes sure the water does not escape. But if we have a container,
it is preferable to use this to ensure that the bit is cooled. The life of the bit depends
entirely on effective cooling.

In addition, we should make sure we lessen the pressure on the drill every four or five seconds
when in use. This also improves the cooling of the bit.
If we follow these instructions, we can achieve perfect holes which will not cause any problems
when it comes to installing the bathroom fittings.
